To continue in our venture to thank those who have supported us in this journey I have to take time to thank the one who has walked together with me the whole time. If you didn't see the first one check it out. I’m so grateful that the greatest encouragement has come from inside my own home. If not impossible, this journey would have been incredibly difficult without the full support of my lovely wife. We usually write these things together, but since this one is about her it’s just me this time. So if there are a ton or misspellings and grammatical errors you’ll know who the brilliant editor of this team is.
I have met so many people that have had dreams and desires to do something only to find opposition from their spouse, husband or wife. It was important that we made this decision together. It was important because even though she was a nurse (I thought nurses mad a lot more…) there was no way to live on her income alone. To be fair, she also thought that I made ANY money at the time… So when we went through difficult times in finances and business I’m thankful we met those things as a team, not me facing those things alone and then having to explain it to her also.
She said that even before we got married she felt that God had said I would be successful (she can probably explain that more later). She probably didn’t think it would take as long as it did. She never wanted me to give up or tell me I should get a “real” job when seasons looked rough. Even when that’s what I thought I should do she would encourage me to stay on the path.
It’s hard to explain in words what it means to me to have a partner in this life and journey that believes in it just as much or more than I do. And believes in me sometimes more than I do. If this was simply my hobby or my desire I don’t believe we ever would have broken through. It gives me so much courage and peace to know that I am coming home to support and love, not questioning and skepticism. Life is hard enough without home being your sanctuary. If anyone says “safe space” I might throw up.
I’m thankful for so much support along the way. But I am truly honored to have unwavering support from the one who is effected the most by all these decisions. It sure makes the deciding easier. I could write ten more gushing pages that would have all of you rolling your eyes. Suffice it to say that it is of the upmost importance to have a partner in life that can take the journey with you. Proverbs 18:22 says that, “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.” It sure has been proven to me in slightly over 10 years of marriage to that girl. I’m thankful for every day we’ve had and look forward to every day we have coming. Thank you.
If she reads this, I love you babe. And I’m sorry for all the misused commas…
Talk to you guys again soon!
